The James Morrison Academy Honours Ensemble is the premier small ensemble from the James Morrison Academy in Mount Gambier, SA. The band consists of Honours students Bernard Alexander - saxophones, Matthew Nicholls - trumpet, Scott van Gemert - trombone, and James Owen - drums, with special guest Harry Morrison - double bass. They play a variety of original material and arrangements of music by composers ranging from Thelonious Monk to Sidney Bechet, and everything in between.
